The boys aren't playing anytime soon, but have been doing session together, hopefully it will lead to something.

12.05.2002 - Woo whoo! News at the old Folk-Ups website! Can you believe it? The news is there is all sorts of Christmas themed Folk-Ups stuff available for you to BUY! Just click on over to the Folk-Ups Store and go crazy! Hurry the ornaments are going fast. In other news the boys did very special wedding for one of Bill's students last weekend. Word is they had great fun and Boone sang lead on a tune while playing drums, now that is talent! Still hoping to get some gigs going in the new year. The problem is none out our beloved Folk-Ups are very eager to do the actual booking of shows. I don't blame them it's a tough job. If anyone out there is experienced in booking bands and would be interested in making a go of it for our acoustic maniacs do drop an email immediately folkups@yahoo.com. If you don't I may have to toss my shy, inexperienced hat into the ring! Please save me from being eaten alive!

09.24.2002 - Poor Folk-Ups website doesn't get nearly enough attention. We it got a lot tonight. Check out the merch page for some new logo stuff! The lunchbox is way too cool! If only it came with a thermos... "I'm picking out a thermos for you!" Now there should be something for everyone in our little FU shop. That said WEAR YOUR FOLK-UPS COLORS WITH PRIDE!

06.17.2002 - Well the big news is I've added a review section to folk-ups.com. Right now there is a great review of the Cafe Amstedam show by fan/writer John Schoneboom. I hope you'll all enjoy it.

05.12.2002 - Happy Mother's Day all you Mothers! The Folk-Ups are hard at work doing a whole lot of nothing...or are they? Maybe it's the quiet before the storm.

03.24.2002 - Well last night the Folk-Ups played a private party and it was a total blast! Alex and Bill and returning to the fold "Dave the bassplayer" and on drums the wunderkind Boone Spooner. They did some serious funky jamming. A superwide spectrum of sound. James Brown to Bob Wills to Beatles to Folk-Ups originals. It was awesome! The music just came "alive", heehee, you know what I mean Boone! I can't wait for more gigs, this may signal a return to regular gigging! Woo hoo! Keep your finger crossed.=)

03.20.2002 - Ola, everyone! We had a very interesting evening as part of the Magnificant Ass Show. Bill and Alex played totally unplugged, no amps or mics. I wished they could have had more time, they were great though. Bill's got some solo stuff coming up so check his site.

9.14.2001 - Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones in the horrific attack on Tuesday and to those who are selflessly involved in searching for survivors. Now give your brain a rest and turn off the TV and newsradio, don't read the paper or news online. Embrace your freedom, life and loved ones, call a friend you haven't spoken to in a while, fly the flag and support your community. Take Care - Anna 'God Bless America'

8.31.2001 - Well, here it is the "improved" Folk-Ups website. I swore I'd never use frames, but they just seemed to be a way to make the site better. The navigation only loads once so hopefully you won't have to wait so long with each page turn. Of course as soon as I was ready to upload the frames version of the site I got an idea for a total redesign. So maybe in the next year/decade I'll get that done.

We also have a new email list service, so if you'd like to be on it or you have not received the Folk-Updater in a while please visit the "join list" page. Once again it's an opt on list so you a free to leave at anytime. You wouldn't do that would you?

See you all next Wednesday at Bruno's!
